Los Angeles osteopath Arash Jacob D.O. welcomes patients also receiving Homeopathic treatment.
Cranial Osteopathy and Homeopathy become quite powerful when combined properly. Where Cranial Osteopaths use their hands to issue cure, Homeopaths use potent remedies. Where Cranial Osteopathy is rooted in anatomical harmony, Homeopathy strives to balance the body's resonance, changing its expression of illness. Both treat the core, the very root of disease.
Most of us self prescribe. We walk into a health food store and take a homeopathic remedy for headache, lets say. This is no different, in concept, than taking Motrin. We are treating a symptom, not its cause. Symptomatic homeopathy confuses the body-shifting symptoms around, trading one for another. Avoid it.
Homeopathic treatment should be constitutional, addressing the emotional, physical, and mental states. If you don't have one, finding a constitutional homeopath is fairly simple. Such homeopathic treatment involves a thorough interrogation of the patient and the administration of a remedy. A remedy is a diluted form of some substance. It displays the same resonance as the patient's problem. When taken orally, the remedy works to match the patient's state at its core resonance. Like two waves meeting. The resulting wave is different. A remedy aims to treat the entire patient on all levels. Usually, one remedy is chosen and is given to the patient to take orally. Then we wait. Depending on the patient's state, it could be days to weeks before symptoms shift. The patient will normally follow up in person or by phone in a few weeks to determine progress. Your Homeopath will determine the specifics on timing. It may take some time to find the right remedy, so it you feel drawn to it, commit and be patient.
Let's assume you're seeing a constitutional Homeopath and now you're considering adding Cranial Osteopathy to the mix. Remember that a constitutional remedy needs space. Let it breathe and give it time to penetrate. Ten days to two weeks is usually good. Please don't come in to see me at my Osteopathic clinic in Los Angeles during this time – your body is in a deep state of flux, making it difficult to read and treat. After the two-week mark though, do come in. Your body has settled and now Cranial Osteopathy can greatly aid your body in adapting to its altered state. Two strong forces working harmoniously to the same end.
